Coach Massi has been developing athletes of all ages, sports and skill levels for over twenty years. He has decades of Athletic Development experience and is a certified Specialist in Strength & Conditioning. (Sports Conditioning Specialist) He has served as a staff resource for many organizational programs and joins our staff possessing a wealth of Sports Performance and Fitness knowledge.
Coach Machado is a Certified Fitness Trainer and competitive Mixed Martial Artist. He spent six months in Thailand training with and learning from various sports, fitness and MMA colleagues. Craig has worked closely with doctors and physical therapists in rehabilitative and sports medicine treating high school, collegiate and professional athletes. He has also spent an intensive internship in our Strictly Speed ©, Sudden Urgent Response Generated training (SURGE) ©, Independent Suspension Training (IST) © and Playing Dynamically Quick (PDQ) © agility progression system programming and now applies the methodologies to our clients and systems.
Coach Fleury is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and holds a degree, license and certification in Athletic Training. She is a NCAA America East collegiate softball champion, two-time America East All-Conference first team player and member of the “200-hit club”. She also serves as an Athletic Trainer for an area High School and engages in the recognition and treatment of sports related injury. She also provides hitting, fielding and throwing instruction in both softball and baseball.
Coach Fernandez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences & Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut. She was also a scholarship field hockey athlete to Salisbury University in Maryland. Additionally she has both played and coached Ice Hockey and Lacrosse. Coach Fernandez has spent the past few years working in the physical medicine field with Doctors and Physical Therapists working on athletic rehabilitation methods.
Coach Petrone played his high school ball at Mahopac High School earning All-Section and All-Region captain and MVP honors. Matt went on to play on scholarship at DI New Jersey Tech being named to the All-Rookie New Jersey team as a freshman. He then transferred to Gilford Tech., Carolina for a record-setting season and earned All-Region NJCAA honors. After Gilford Tech. he went on to finish his college career at National Powerhouse - Conference Carolina, Mount Olive College where he hit lead-off with a .358 average and an OBP of .488 earning All-Conference team selection honors. Matt is now a contracted professional baseball player within the PECOS league and seeks to move up in the professional ranking system. In the offseason Matt performs baseball instruction, fitness and sports performance activities with Performax.
Coach Avolio has developed hundreds of baseball and softball players of all levels from youth – pro. He is one of our leading primary staff scouting resources and works closely with Performax to monitor identified prospect progress. He played AAA equivalent independent ball and remains active in competitive fast-pitch softball today. He has received numerous coaching honors and recognitions and is an industry recognized catching, hitting and game strategy specialist. Mike is as avid in fitness and sports performance as he is a student (and teacher) of the game.
